Base Recipe:
- Magnesium oil: Mix equal parts magnesium chloride flakes with distilled water (warm gently in a pot—never microwave). Stir until dissolved.
- MSM: Add MSM flakes/powder (1–2 Tbsp per cup) to the warm magnesium solution—dissolves easily.
- DMSO: Add equal parts (or less, e.g., 1:2 ratio for milder smell) pharmaceutical-grade DMSO.
- Optional: Aloe/glycerin: Add a squirt of pure aloe vera gel or vegetable glycerin for soothing.
*This shortens the shelf life of the product SIGNIFICANTLY to 1-4 weeks in the fridge. Leaving aloe/glycerin out of the equation gives the product a 3-6+ month shelf life. I opt not to use it. Aloe vera and glycerin feed bacteria and don’t add any significant advantage to the recipe. - Optional: 5–10 drops frankincense or other essential oil (anti-inflammatory).

Instructions:
- Warm distilled water (not boiling), dissolve magnesium flakes + MSM.
- Let cool slightly, add DMSO and aloe/glycerin.
