Base Recipe
- 1–2 cups kefir (preferably home-made 48-72 hour ferment) (No kefir? see ‘options’ below for kefir subs)
- ½ – ¾ tsp matcha
- 1–2 tbsp butter powder or melted grass-fed butter/ghee (creaminess)
- (subs: coconut oil, coconut manna, full fat coconut milk… be creative!)
- Squirt of Concentrace Minerals or Shilajit “water” (dissolve Shilajit in warm water before adding)
- Splash vanilla
- Pinch Nutmeg
- Pinch sea salt
- Secret Pinch: cacao powder (around ⅛ tsp)-adds subtle bitter depth (coffee-like without coffee) + magnesium/polyphenols for mood lift and richer flavor. (more below)

Blend or froth. I use a milk frother (after stirring with a fork) because:
- Easier and more convenient than any blender.
- Doesn’t oxidize the nutrients nearly as much as a blender. High-speed blending whips in lots of air and creates friction heat, which quickly degrades delicate antioxidants like EGCG (the main powerhouse compound in matcha) and other green-powder phytonutrients (chlorophyll, catechins, polyphenols). A gentle frother keeps air and heat minimal so you preserve more of the good stuff.
