My gut got destroyed in Mexico this year: pre-surgery stress (fractured knee while there), post-antibiotics etc., sketchy fish tacos/pulque.
Leaky lining → inflammation, bloating, and loose stools for months. Probiotics, ferments, charcoal, cleanses helped… but no consistent solid poops until L-Glutamine.
Why it was a game changer:
- #1 fuel for enterocytes → rebuilds tight junctions (the “velcro” sealing gut lining)
- Restores mucosal barrier (protective slime layer)
- Drops pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α) → calms inflammation
- Prebiotic boost → feeds good bacteria, crowds out bad
- Hospital go-to for post-op/chemo diarrhea recovery
Result? Tighter junctions → no leaks → toxins out, nutrients in → beautiful, solid poops.
Bye bye loose & stinky, hello firm & fabulous!v💩 I did a little happy dance right there in the bathroom when I noticed the change. (Small wins, big celebrations! 😂)
I took 5–10g/day on an empty stomach until fixed, now cycle 3x/week maintenance.
If antibiotics, stress, or travel wrecked your gut—try it! Worked for me when nothing else did.

Angie, my 90 year old mom has suffered with watery diarrhea for a couple of months. I believe it was brought on by stress. She ended up in the hospital with a colon infection and UTI. She has been on antibiotics for a couple of weeks. I know her gut is wrecked but I am hesitant to give her anything. Do you think this might help her? Thank you for any information. Linda
Thank-you Angie X
